Free from traditional coin grading's subjective gamesmanship, QCG has taken a novel approach by developing a quantitative coin grading system based on technology. Starting with a light-tight, controlled environment, QCG sets the standard for image capture repeatability of each coin. Images of your coin are sent to the cloud for computer vision processing based on Sheldon grade attributes. These attributes are then compared to an empirical database for each specific coin series. These results are weighted based on Jim Halperin's N.C.I. grading guide to determine the coin's quantitative Sheldon grade.
